Across the street from the beach. Unobstructed Gulf Views from the decks, dining room and all bedrooms!
AND the beach path is directly infront of the house. It will take you less than 100 steps from our lower deck stairs walk to the beach. It is like a beachfront house without beachfront price tag!

One of our guests said it best: 'Hang Ten was a wonderful vacation house. The layout was perfect to allow everyone privacy and it had everything we needed. Really enjoyed screened porch, view, access to beach and great pool! We were very pleased!'

Hang Ten is ideally situated on St. George Island. It is at the 1/4 mile mark of the island's bike trail, just far enough from the commercial center for quiet yet close enough for an easy bike ride or walk. The beach is only 100 steps away, with the beach access easement directly in front of the house. Every room has a view of the beach. Hang Ten has three bedrooms and three full baths, a fully-stocked kitchen, laundry, covered parking, enclosed hot and cold outdoor shower, fish cleaning sink, and screened and open deck areas. The two master bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house, providing welcome separation for those that want it.The pool is one of the most private on the island.

One guest commented: you can wear your birthday suit! Pool Heat is available for an extra charge ($350 per week) during Spring and Fall depending upon air temperatures.

Hang Ten also provides free wireless high-speed internet, a high chair, a playpen, and a stroller.

Dogs are welcome: $90 for up to two dogs.$45 each extra dog.

Monthly dog fee : $180 for up to two dogs. $80 each extra dog

Hang Ten rents from Saturday to Saturday. The primary renter must be 25 years or older.

Hang Ten has an exterior security camera. It is mounted under the house with a view of the driveway and portions of the parking area and the entry steps.

We just left Hang Ten on E SGI and can’t express how much we enjoyed our Christmas vacation.

We rented this lovely 3 bedroom 3 bath house across the road from the beach path for some good surf fishing. It was bright and cheerful, nicely furnished and quite roomey for the 6 adults that stayed there.

The owner, Reggie Ratcliff was so nice to work with and responded to my questions and requests immediately. We hope to come back to SGI next year and would definitely stay here again if available.

Wonderful week in paradise!

My husband & I just spent a week in your beautiful home & our only regret is that we didnt book it for 2 weeks! We loved the house, it has a great floor plan, & we had everything we could have possibly wanted. The pool was so nice, we had fantastic weather & the water was warm & perfect. We loved the location of the house. It was close enough to all of the restaurants that we walked or rode our bikes to everything. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, & saw dolphins swimming by. This was our first visit to St. George & we will definetly be back . We will be planning our next visit to your home soon. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Perfect location!

I've been vacationing in/enjoying St. George Island for the past 10+ years...and this was the greatest rental. The location is perfect - across the street from the beach and within walking distance of everywhere you'd want to go. The Estuarine was a new discovery, and an ideal hike. The house, yard and pool were clean and well maintained, and I love that there's only a neighbor on one side. The layout is perfect - the bedrooms at the far end are removed so you could have private, quiet time if needed. My family & dog & I have never enjoyed a vacation more!

great beach vacation

we really enjoyed this house! its definitely a great location.. very clean and very roomy! having that private pool was wonderful! sitting on the deck after a fun day at the beach was really great watching and listening to the ocean. thank goodness Andrea only took one sunny day from us.. yes I recommend this home for others .. we love the Owl restaurant in Appalachacola for a good meal the owner has been very nice and helpful!.. too bad we only had a week there... and I thank you for allowing our doggies to vacation with us too !

Happy Happy @ Hang Ten

Had a great week at Hang Ten and the Island of St George. Although it was just my wife, dogs, and myself, the house had a great set up for multiple couples or families. Excellent location and very easy access to the beach. Nice view of the Gulf right off the deck and what I really liked was the hot, cold shower located at the bottom of the stairs. We had a few cool days and rinsing the sand off our feet with the warm outdoor shower was nice. Pool is very private with a park style grill and picnic table which makes for a convenient area to dine out. We always travel with our dogs so an extendable gate is one of those items that comes in handy. This is a must have on the upper deck as there is not a gate at the top of the stairs. No biggie just a FYI for those staying with toddlers. Over the years we've stayed in many other properties on St George and will probably stay at Hang Ten again. For the money it's a good value that offers many amenities.

Don't Think Twice

Perfect beach house with fab view of the gulf directly across the street. Has everything you'll need for a perfect vacation. Big pluses are the big screened porch and the pool area. A lot of pools are right out there for all to see you, not this one. A totally private oasis where you can take a dip or just lay around on the lounge chairs sight unseen. Too chilly for us to actually use the pool but did enjoy relaxing with a book out there. Would definitely rent Hang Ten again and given the chance so should you!

Wonderful

Oasis on SGI

This was our second stay at Hang Ten. Both times have been wonderful! This property is truly the best value for this hidden oasis. The rooms are spacious and the floor plan is spread out for plenty of indoor privacy. 100 steps to the beach, you can't beat that! Shore fishing is a must do. I'm not that much of an angler, but even I was able to catch a few. The best thing about this property is the private pool. The property is surrounded by dunes and there are no houses behind or to one side and a tall fence which makes for complete privacy. The heating option is worth the charge, we used the pool in chilly November last time and it was great!! Especially since the ocean was too cold at that time of year. A few tips: Doc Myers has an oyster happy hour 3-7pm, Lynn's Quality Oysters across the bridge to the right in Eastpoint is a great no frills dive with the best seafood around, they also sell fresh. For doggo owners like us that a have a pup with little recall ability, there is high fence dog park just past historic Apalachicola about the size of a football field with several divided areas. Great place to let them loose and burn energy. The cheapest groceries are the Piggly Wiggly and IGA in Apalachicola. The Piggly Wiggly on the island was surprisingly not that overpriced for an island option. The owner is very responsive and follows up with any questions or concerns. He makes sure you will enjoy your stay. We will definitely be back.

great for families

we had the most wonderful time here! We went with 3 small children and my husband's parents. The house perfectly accommodated our large group. Everything we needed was already there. The layout of house provides comfort and also privacy when needed at the same time. Great views of the beach and town. Hang Ten provided on of the most memorable experiences in SGI. Incredible Family vacation!!

Plenty of room for all of us and such a great retreat after a day at the ocean to jump in the pool. Wore the kids out so much they begged to go to bed. Would love to make this our new favorite place to stay every year!!!!

Wonderful Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay and enjoyed being able to spend time with family including our fur babies. The house had enough space for everyone and we did not feel like we were on top of each other. We enjoyed spending time on the front porch looking at the beach. The pool was nice and refreshing as well as very private. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking essentials. Looking forward to return for our next trip.

Spring Break 2020

Hang Ten was perfect for our Spring Break stay this year. The house is directly across from the beach with a beach view and very easy direct access. We really enjoyed how quiet the beach was at this location, while still being able to bike to shops and restaurants. Thank you Reggie!

Location location location

House was nice and clean. More importantly the location really was one of the best on the island. It’s right across from the beach, not by major public access, and close to downtown without being right downtown. We had our dog out on the beach every day with plenty of room to run and swim. At night we grilled by the pool.

Austyn's First Beach Trip 2020

Love this property! Unique floor plan provides privacy and big dining room table perfect at mealtime. Screened porch is perfect for listening to the surf with a cocktail or morning coffee.

Walk to the beach is short and straight across the road.

I will plan our next trip when this property is available.

Great family vacation

Perfect beach house in a perfect location

The house was clean, and just as pictured. The beach is just steps away, and it’s a short 5-10 minute walk to all the shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. The kitchen is well-equipped and the local stores were well-stocked with meat, produce, and fresh seafood. We also had takeout from Paddy’s Raw bar which was excellent. The owner checked on us when the weather was bad one night, and all the people we met were very friendly- this place is a hidden gem!

Enjoyable Vacation

Hang Ten!

This house is within walking distance to the Blue Parrot. The Pool is extremely private with morning and evening shade. We also enjoyed having rooms on either side of the house giving the kids their own little area. The owner was very responsive to our needs before during and after our stay. Thank You!

ideal getaway

Initial impression was that the property was very clean and very bright. Lots of windows and the first time in over 15 years visiting SGI where we could watch the sunset while eating dinner. Ease of access to the beach was a big plus with our 3 dogs. Beds were comfortable.
All in all, I highly recommend Hang Ten. One of the best properties we have stayed at on SGI.

Hang-10 property stay for 7/16/2022-7/23/2022.

Excellent property. It was clean upon arrival, very comfortable throughout our stay with no property issues, and the owner was very responsive to our one 'issue' (some missing towels) and resolved it quickly. The pool was refreshing after beach activity and greatly enjoyed by our young granddaughter and adults alike. While it is located across the street from the beach, access was very easy and the view of the beach was unobstructed. We would very much consider staying in this property again. We have vacationed on St. George Island for the last 10 years and in the surrounding area for other years also. This property met our needs perfectly for our family stay - 3 good size bedrooms and baths with normal size beds (we don't happen to need bunks for multiple kids at this time). If I had to give any suggestions at this time, it would be for ceiling fans on the outside areas to help move some air during the hottest days while enjoying the upper deck and screened-in area.

Great location. Fun week

Hang Ten is clean, well furnished and in general a great place to rent for a vacation. The house offers plenty of room inside as well as on the outdoor porch surrounding the front perimeter of the house. The private pool is a huge plus. It was more than large enough for our family of 6 and was clean. We paid to have the pool heated. At this time of year, the extra bucks to have the pool heated is well worth it. The kitchen is well stocked with pretty much any cookware, utensils and dishes for cooking and dining needs. Reggie is super to deal with and responded double quick to a couple of issues that arose during our stay. He genually seemed interested that our needs were met and that we had a good time in his rental.

Perfect for our family!

We had a great time at Hang Ten. It is located in a quiet lot with only one house on the east side. The pool is nested on the back (west north side) with solid fence. We spent most of time at the pool area. It is so relax and private! The beach is just accross street with 1-2 minnute walk. House is very clean and beds are comfortable. We already plan to come back.

Paradise!

Just back from a wonderful visit to SGI. The property is wonderfully situated on the East Gorrie Drive about 3 blocks from the island center. We enjoyed hanging out poolside, long walks along the beach and of course amazing sunsets. The views!
